Pencil doll

This children’s craft allows to prepare pencils decorated with nice gnome’s head which will cheer the child up in his back to school. This idea is also useful as a birthday or Christmas present.

Materiales

• Colored or black pencils
• Glue
• A toothpick or brochette
• Plasticine for oven (Fimo) or salt paste (less solid)
• A garlic crusher

Pasos a seguir

Knead a small plasticine ball to make the head. When it is soft make a ball with both hands. Prick the pencil in the ball.

Make the eyes, the nose, the mouth and the ears with plasticine of the corresponding colour.

Make a hole in the centre of each eye and the mouth with the toothpick. Put a small plasticine ball in the garlic crasher to make the hair and glue it to the hair.

Knead a ball of the colour that you want to make the hat. Roll the plasticine and cut out a triangle. Put the triangle around the head to form the hat.

Remove the pencil carefully. Put the heads in the oven for the time specified by the plasticine maker. Then, leave it to cool and fit the heads on the pencils.
