A Christmas dream. Cuento de Navidad en inglés para niños

Como muchos de los cuentos de Navidad, ésta historia en inglés titulada "A Christmas dream" (un sueño de navidad), está llena de magia, ilusiones y esperanzas. Los niños podrán leerlo en inglés para mejorar su vocabulario, y también en español, por si no entienden alguna palabra.

Cuento navideño en inglés: A Christmas dream

A little polar bear named Lulu lived on a polar ice cap in an igloo. On Christmas Eve, Lulu was very excited and went up to his mum with his eyes shining bright.

"Mum have I been good this year?" he asked.

"Of course my dear, you are a very sweet and good little bear" his mum replied.

"In that case, can I write a letter to Santa Claus now?" asked Lulu.

"Of course you can," said his mum, "but right after that you will have to go to bed, as it is already quite late."

So Lulu sat down with a pen and paper to write a letter to Santa Claus.

"Dear Santa Claus,

I hope you and your little helpers are doing well. This year, I would like a few things, they are:

A long woolen scarf (as it gets cold here sometimes)

A wooden sledge

A fishing rod

It is okay if you can?t bring along all the gifts, but just try and get what you can.

Thank you and lots of hugs and kisses,

Lulu

Once he wrote the letter, he went off to bed as his mother had told him. He would post the letter the next day.

He kept thinking that of course he would love to get the gifts, but there was something he would love more. He would love to meet Santa Claus and go on a ride with Santa in his sleigh.

Thinking of all this Lulu went off to sleep. In his dreams, he saw an old man with a long white beard, a sack filled with presents and a sleigh that could go as fast as the wind.

Next morning Lulu woke up very early because he had a lot of things to do. He got his bag ready and kept his lunch and the letter to Santa in it. He said goodbye to his parents and headed out to post the letter.

The post box where Lulu would post the letter was quite far, but Lulu was a brave little bear and did not stop with the cold winds or the high hills.

Through the way he got tired and decided to take some rest. He sat down on a block of ice and fell asleep.

Suddenly, he woke with fright. The sunrays had melted the ice and he was trapped in the ice cold water. "I am lost," he thought "and I won?t be able to post the letter or go back home."

It was almost dark now and even as Lulu was crying, suddenly he saw a light up in the sky. It was Santa Claus?s sleigh that was being pulled by his reindeers! Suddenly the sleigh slowed down and Santa asked Lulu "Are you coming with me my dear? I have come to take you back home."

As Lulu got into the sleigh, he rode over the ocean and hills and he was so happy he forgot to give his letter to Santa. He was living his biggest dream ever!

In some time, the sleigh reached his igloo and Santa handed his wooly hat to Lulu, helping him home and then disappearing into the night. His parents were delighted to see him back home. "We were so worried," they said, hugging him tight.

Lulu told them all about the incident and said that Santa had given him the best present.

"Santa Claus has given us our best present too" his parents said, as they hugged him again.

Cuento de Navidad en español: Un sueño de Navidad

Una pequeña osa polar llamada Lulu vivía en un casquete polar, en un iglú. En Nochebuena, Lulu estaba muy emocionada y se acercó a su mamá con los ojos brillantes.

- Mamá, ¿me he portado bien este año?, preguntó.

- Por supuesto querida, eres una osita muy dulce y buena, respondió su mamá.

- En ese caso, ¿puedo escribir una carta a Santa Claus ahora?, preguntó Lulu.

- Por supuesto que puedes, dijo su madre, pero justo después tendrás que irte a la cama, ya que ya es bastante tarde.

Entonces Lulu se sentó con un lápiz y papel para escribir una carta a Papá Noel.

"Querido Papá Noel,

Espero que tú y tus pequeños ayudantes estén bien. Este año, me gustaría algunas cosas, son:

Una bufanda larga de lana (ya que a veces hace frío aquí)

Un trineo de madera

Una caña de pescar

Está bien si no puedes traer todos los regalos, pero trata de conseguir lo que puedas.

Una vez que escribió la carta, se fue a la cama como le había dicho su madre. Enviaría la carta al día siguiente.

Seguía pensando que, por supuesto, le encantaría recibir los regalos, pero había algo que le encantaría más. Le encantaría conocer a Santa Claus y dar un paseo con Santa en su trineo.

Pensando en todo esto, Lulu se fue a dormir. En sus sueños, vio a un anciano con una larga barba blanca, un saco lleno de regalos y un trineo que podía ir tan rápido como el viento.

A la mañana siguiente, Lulu se despertó muy temprano porque tenía muchas cosas que hacer. Preparó su mochila y guardó su almuerzo y la carta a Santa en ella. Se despidió de sus padres y se dirigió a enviar la carta.

El buzón donde Lulu dejaría la carta estaba bastante lejos, pero Lulu era una osita valiente y no se detuvo con los vientos fríos o las altas colinas.

Por el camino se cansó y decidió descansar un poco. Se sentó sobre un bloque de hielo y se durmió.

De repente, se despertó asustada. Los rayos del sol habían derretido el hielo y estaba atrapada en el agua helada. "Estoy perdida", pensó, "y no podré enviar la carta, ni volver a casa".

Estaba casi oscuro y mientras Lulu lloraba, de repente vio una luz en el cielo. ¡Era el trineo de Santa Claus, el que tiraban sus renos! De repente, el trineo disminuyó la velocidad y Santa le preguntó a Lulu: "¿Vienes conmigo, querida? He venido a llevarte de vuelta a casa ".

Cuando Lulu se subió al trineo, cabalgó sobre el océano y las colinas y estaba tan feliz que se olvidó de darle su carta a Santa. ¡Estaba viviendo su mayor sueño!

En algún momento, el trineo llegó a su iglú y Santa le entregó su gorro de lana a Lulu, la acercó a casa y luego desapareció en la noche. Sus padres estaban encantados de verla de regreso a casa. "Estábamos tan preocupados", dijeron, abrazándola con fuerza.

Lulu les contó todo sobre el incidente y dijo que Santa le había dado el mejor regalo.

"Santa Claus también nos ha dado nuestro mejor regalo", dijeron sus padres, mientras la abrazaban nuevamente.
